Backbite is the curse for the society. It is one of the causes of quarrel between two person. It is forbidden by Islam.
Backbite means discuss ones bed reports to others. If the discussing bed character is found in his activities its call the Gibath or Backbite. Other way the discussing bed character is not found in his activities its call the Tuhmat. Allah said in the quraan at the Sura al hujrat .....Verses -11
"O you who have believed, avoid much suspicion, for some suspicion are sins. Do not spy, nor should any of you backbite the other. Is there any among you would like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, you yourself abhor it, Fear Allah, Allah is Acceptor of repentance and all merciful. "
Allah also said in the sura Humajah Verses - (1-2)
"Domed (to ruin) is every such person who slanders others (in their face ) and backbites them habitually. ho gather wealth and count it over and over again. He thinks that his wealth remain with him for ever."
The demerits of backbite is very dangerous in our society. They are given bellow.
1. Backbite makes quarrel between two brothers, between parents between two person in the society.
2. Destroys the peace and prosperity of the society.
